This lot was processed using the traditional “Giling Basah” (Wet hulled) method. A technique unique to Sumatra.
The parchment is hulled while still wet, resulting in the coffee being prone to bora bug insect bites.
Once collected in Aceh, the coffee is transported to Medan, where the coffee is sorted with a colour sorter and gravity table, ahead of hand sorted, and bagged ready for export.
