Waitaanga, our Half-Caf blend.
Created for those who love a full bodied, complex coffee, but don’t want the side effects of all the caffeine.
We’ve taken a zero compromise approach, to achieve unforgettable results, whether you’re a flat white fiend, long black lover or filter fanatic, Waitaanga suits every method as well as it suits every hour.
The naming of Waitaanga, our Half-Caf is much more than just a name for namesake.
Waitaanga, Halfway between Decaf and our regular blends,is also a settlement the Forgotten World Highway forgot is located (approximately) halfway between Mangaparo (Ohura) and Tongaporutu on the West Coast.
Waitaanga’s remoteness and altitude, 560m above sea level (approx) makes for beautiful mornings and nights, something we wanted from our half-caf, a blend that was equally as enjoyable in the late evening as it was the early morning.
We found Waitaanga to be unforgettable, and we think you’ll find our homage to Waitaanga is unforgettable too.
This coffee was inspired by the coffee journey of one of our customers.
A coffee guy who was forced to make the switch from filter coffee and 6oz flat whites to Decaf, but suffered headaches.
Single-shot coffees just didn't hit the same and asked us if we'd create a half-caf blend for him.
We accepted the challenge because we believe everyone should be able to enjoy unforgettable coffee, with caffeine, without caffeine or somewhere in between.
